Yoga and Pilates: in depth

Would you like to attend a public yoga or Pilates class with the confidence that you know what the names of the poses and exercises mean, how to breathe during them, and which muscles to engage in order to get the most out of them? Then this workshop is for you!
In this workshop, we will focus on basic yoga poses and basic Pilates exercises.
We will discuss their meaning, effects, body alignment, possible variations of positions and exercises from basic to more demanding ones, and we will cover everything essential for effectively building a strong and flexible body. We will also explain the basic terms and names that you may hear in public classes and show you variations of positions and exercises with aids such as blocks and overballs.
In the second part of the workshop, we will apply the theory in practice and go through a yoga sequence to warm up the body and calm the mind. Then we will move smoothly on to Pilates exercises. We will work on strengthening the core, engaging the deep stabilizing system of the spine, and improving balance. We will also focus on flexibility and overall stretching of large muscle groups. The emphasis will be on breathing, fluidity, movement control, and conscious engagement of individual muscle groups.
At the end, you can look forward to a pleasant stretch and calm down accompanied by the sounds of harmonica, the scent of Palo Santa, and essential oils, which will enhance the feeling of regeneration and harmony of body and mind.
The workshop will be based on the principles of healthy movement, thanks to which you will learn how to effectively strengthen and shape your figure, how to improve mobility and flexibility, and thus have greater control over your movement and your body.
I look forward to seeing you!
