Sunday Yin Spa


According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the month of May is governed by the element of fire; therefore, in this next three-hour Yin Yoga session, we will explore the heart meridian within this element.
It is precisely at this time of year that nature is literally bursting with new strength and vitality. It is therefore a good idea to focus on taking care of your heart during this season.
According to Chinese medicine, every emotion we fail to process and express throws our energy out of balance. The heart is most harmed by a lack of love and self-love, emotional coldness, a lack of love in childhood, difficulties with parents or a loved one, exhaustion, and irritability. In this class , we will release stagnant energy in the chest; by holding Yin Yoga poses for longer periods , we will dissolve tension and nurture the entire body and mind with full attention.
It is recommended to wear soft, comfortable clothing to class, and to eat a light meal and drink plenty of fluids on the day of the class.
