Sunday Yin Spa

A deeply restorative Yin Yoga class focused on the energy of the small intestine in June. By releasing muscle tension, we will bring the meridians into balance, release pent-up emotions, and conclude the practice with a gentle aromatherapy massage.
In traditional Chinese medicine, each month of the year is associated with a specific organ. June corresponds to the small intestine, which is paired with the heart. The small intestine has the ability to regulate transformation and separate the necessary from the unnecessary. Throughout the day and our entire lives, we encounter a multitude of sensations that need to be processed and sorted. Necessary sensations are transformed into beneficial aspects of our psyche, while the unnecessary ones are discarded.
If the small intestine is out of balance, it can lead to inner turmoil and other unpleasant emotions, such as sadness, frustration, a lack of joy, criticality, cynicism, naivety, overanalyzing situations, or ambition without the ability to enjoy success.
Yin yoga is closely linked to Traditional Chinese Medicine, as it brings the individual meridians into balance. It teaches us to turn our inner gaze back toward ourselves, to observe without reacting. It excels in long holds, where the muscles rest and, by releasing tension, we deeply affect the connective tissues, ligaments, tendons, and joints. Its effects are beneficial and deeply restorative in our fast-paced lives.
What can you look forward to?
— Deep relaxation: Yin yoga thoroughly releases the emotions stored within us, so let’s not hold back those tears.
— Aromatherapy massage: A gentle pampering experience to round out your session.
— Deep relaxation: Ultimate calm for both body and mind.
